❓ Frequently Asked Questions
General Pet Travel
Start with our Checklist Generator. Enter your origin, destination, and travel date to receive a personalized, vet-verified compliance checklist. Then, review our Global Compliance Guide for detailed regulations.
Yes! Our core tools (Checklist Generator, Country Guides, Compliance Resources) are 100% free. We also offer a Premium upgrade ($19) for PDF downloads, email reminders, and vet consultation credits, but the essential compliance information is always free.
We update our database within 24 hours of any official regulation changes from government sources (USDA, DEFRA, DAFF, CDC). Our content is reviewed quarterly by licensed veterinarians. Look for the “Last Updated” date on every page.
Documents & Requirements
The most common error is issuing the health certificate outside the validity window (typically 7–10 days before travel). Issued too early = expired at check-in = denied boarding. Always schedule your vet appointment based on your confirmed travel date.
It depends on your route. Rabies titer tests (RNATT) are required for Australia, New Zealand, Japan, EU/UK (from high-rabies countries), and UAE. Not required for USA, Canada, or travel between low-rabies countries. Check your specific country guide.
Emergencies & Issues
1. Ask airline staff for the specific reason in writing. 2. Contact your vet immediately to see if the issue can be corrected (e.g., new signature). 3. Rebook your flight only after confirming the correction is possible. 4. Read our Denied Boarding Guide for detailed recovery steps.
Quarantine is managed by government authorities, not PetDocify. However, we can help you understand the rules and requirements for release. Contact the quarantine facility directly for daily updates. Review our Quarantine Rules Guide for general information.
